ALI KHAZAI
Ali is the founder of Capital City Builders, a premier custom home-building company serving the DC Metro area. With over three generations of experience, Capital City Builders has been delivering exceptional craftsmanship since its founding in 2001. The company began with development projects in Northern Virginia, focusing on areas such as McLean, Vienna, Alexandria, and Arlington. By 2004, Ali expanded operations into Washington, D.C., serving prestigious neighborhoods like Georgetown and the Palisades. Today, Capital City Builders proudly serves the entire Washington Metro region, with a proven track record of over 23 years in creating high-quality custom homes.
To further meet the growing demand for reliable and skilled contractors, Ali co-founded Capital City Exteriors, a division of Capital City Builders. This venture was launched to address the need for trustworthy home repair and improvement services in the community. Committed to integrity and quality, Capital City Exteriors upholds a simple yet powerful mission: to be a trusted partner for homeowners, ensuring honest work for honest pay. As proud members of the Northern Virginia community, Ali and his team remain dedicated to excellence in every project they undertake.
GIULIANO SALVO
Sal was born and raised in Northern Virginia and went to Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia. After High School, Sal attended Virginia Tech where he and Ali met. Sal spent his early career in audit, corporate accounting, and investment finance. As a licensed CPA, he began his career at a Big 4 accounting firm before transitioning to corporate roles.
Leaving Corporate America, Sal co-founded and served as CFO of a local real estate investment company acquiring small to large multifamily apartment communities in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., North Carolina, and South Carolina. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found a construction company in 2018 which served as the dedicated general contractor across the investment portfolio. As part of his construction company, Sal has overseen the acquisition and renovation of multifamily apartment communities, office buildings, and mixed-use projects across the Southeastern United States.
Sal and Ali have been friends for over 30 years, sharing a strong bond and mutual respect. Together, they co-founded Capital City Exteriors, a division of Capital City Builders, to address a significant need in the community for transparent, honest contractors. Sal and his wife live in Vienna and have 3 kids and 3 dogs. They enjoy spending time with all their kids and watching them in all their extracurricular activities - baseball, field hockey, basketball and dance.
